Jessica Pearson

Hello! My name is Jessica Pearson. This is my fifth year in education and I absolutely love it! My husband and I raised our children in Fort Scott Kansas before I had the opportunity to teach in Liberal, KS. I taught 6th grade and 4th grade in Liberal before deciding we needed to move back closer to our family. We are so happy to be back on this side of Kansas with our family and friends! Last year I had the privilege of meeting several of your children as I was the full time substitute for Parsons. I am extremely excited to finally be back in my own classroom this year as a 4th grade teacher!
My husband and I are proud parents of 8 children! Rhya just graduated last year and has started her own journey, Daisy is a senior at PHS this year, Jayda is a 10th grader at Uniontown high school, Kayden and Kaily are in 5th and 4th grade here at Guthridge, Alyvia started at Garfield this year as a 2nd grader, our little Adyson just started preschool this year and last but not least is Kathryn who was born in May! We stay very busy but I love every minute of it!
I started down this road of education at Fort Scott Community College where I received my associates in general science. I continued at Pittsburg State University where I received my Bachelors in Elementary Education. Of course I couldn't stop there, currently I have 9 hours towards my ESOL from Kansas State University and hoping to finish with my masters.
I am really looking forward to an exciting and fun year with all of your kiddos this year! I'm happy to finally call myself a Viking! GO VIKES!
